Last Friday Buoy Salon and Spa along with Coco Wellington and Working Style put on an Autumn/Winter Fashion Showcase for Positively Pink, an event to raise much needed funds for Breast Cancer Foundation. Through the generous support of Buoy Salon and Spa and other event sponsors, the evening was able to raise over $50,000 towards continuing the amazing work that NZ Breast Cancer Foundation do.
The fashion show was a huge success and would not have been made possible with out the team effort of the Buoy Staff, with hair direction by our MASTER STYLIST Mathias and our amazing team of stylist Eilish, Andrew, Te, Skye, and Ronica. The hair for the show was all about luxury high shine gloss, beautiful waves with bespoke pearl accent hair jewellery (created by Buoy) for both boys and girls.
Show producer and Wellington's leading fashion stylist Sopheak Seng was instrumental in putting the show together from music, show production, model co-ordination and everything in between, his countless hours which he donated and expertise in fashion shows was truly valued in ensuring a smooth and professional show.
Our Managing Director Phillippa Middleton expertise and years of experience was invaluable in helping pull this showcase together. Her vision of bringing together well known Wellington brands to showcase their work was what made the showcase happen. Her hard work with key Buoy suppliers and partners was instrumental in garnering some very generous prizes and services for the silent auction, live auction and raffles.
We also had some amazing sponsors and supporters involved to make the show possible, these include Bobbi Brown for all the makeup, GHD for donation of a GHD Platinum Plus for the Silent Auction, L'Oreal Professionel NZ for all the hair products. Kirsty Bunny Management and all the gorgeous models who all donated their time to the cause as well. We also want to thanks Hippopotamus Restaurant and Pause Yoga for their kind donation towards prizes on the night as well.
The beautiful dresses, suits and clothing from COCO Wellington was complimented with jewellery from our long time friends Tory & Ko. While the menswear from Working Style was all about dapper classic menswear with a twist.
Buoy Salon and Spa has had a long tradition of supporting local charities and causes that are close to our hearts and we are proud of the work that we do in giving back to the community and helping raise funds for such a worthwhile charity.
