Continuing on the great Buoy tradition of producing award-winning photographic imagery we are super proud of both Michael Beel and Andrew Cobeldick and their recent wins in the Lust Colour Competition.
Andrew took out the LUST COLOUR category with the below entry. Based of the Patone colour trend for Spring Summer 2020 and aquatic life, Andrew's entry drew upon the natural world with shades of mint and aqua broken up with soft coral pastel pinks.
This year's Lust competition saw a new category called LUST MONOCHROMATIC which focused on producing an arresting editorial image with the emphasis on fashion forward hair.
Michael Beel's entry into the category took out the top prize, with his take on avant-garde hair. Inspired by the work of Eugene Soulieman and Dr Seuss, Michael's dreaded ponytail stood out for its eye catching and fashionable, editorial direction.
It was also a double win for Andrew as he took out the Runner Up in the MONOCHROMATIC category with his take on Elizabethan Gothic glamour. Inspired by the Alexander McQueen's 'The Girl in the Tree' and royalty, Andrew's editorial look was chosen for its unique shape and dramatic flair.
