Fresh air! This is one simple thing I have decided we take for granted. Over the past few weeks many of us will have had the opportunity to self reflect as well as make time for the things we once wouldn’t have usually. This includes enjoying the beautiful outdoors in a country we are so lucky to live in.
For most of us this daily trip around our neighbourhood is what has kept us and will continue to keep us sane. As we walk past house after house and take in all the little things we once wouldn’t have ever noticed.
For the most part we have been lucky enough to have clear blue sky’s and strangely enough not a lot of wind. On that note I would like to remind everyone that the sun is an ESSENTIAL WORKER.
This means it doesn't take a break and produces harmful UV rays all year round, rain or shine.
What if I work indoors or it’s cloudy? An SPF still needs to be worn! UV radiation can penetrate through both clouds and glass. It is important we wear the appropriate SPF to ensure we are safely protected against DAILY UV exposure. These UVA rays contribute to premature ageing as well as skin cancers.
This is why our Ultra UV Protective Daily Moisturiser range is great! They contain no nasty ingredients, protect us against UVA and UVB as well as fight signs of ageing. Anyone and everyone can use these including the kids!
Sunscreen should be applied at least 20 minutes before going outdoors and reapplied every two hours, or immediately after swimming.
Even with winter coming up, it is still important to wear a UV protective moisturiser to help prevent premature ageing, a minimum of SPF 30 sunscreen should be applied on a daily basis after cleansing.5ml (approximately one teaspoon) of sunscreen should be applied to each limb, plus the face, and ears.
